As I have just entered my mid (to late) twenties I am now finding the the increasing usefulness of the 'Birthday Wishlist'. The list, sent to every family member, best friend, husband/boyfriend, flatmate or just anyone you would like to have a gift from on a day that is specifically for you eliminates the ever increasing frozen face, often practised before a the presentation of yet another lip gloss gift set from Boots.
Because I am now entering into the ever public blogsphere, I thought digitising my wish list for all to see and for others to (ahem) take note.
I am being conservative and listed my top ten rather than the usual fifteen pages (front and back) that is par for the course for my closest family members and best friends.
Please take note, by all means copy the wish list idea and definitely let me know of your preferred method of gifting coercion!
Whistles, £195
American Apparel Fisherman Jumper, £66
7. I always tend to put practical things on my birthday wishlist as it always frees up my money for much prettier, special occasion things that feeds the insatiable shopaholic monster that resides in my being. Practical, doesn't have to mean boring and the staple that is Converse All Stars are not exception. These may bring back memories of sullen adolescents and jeans with the circumference of a giant's head, but they are classics for a reason. Stick with the classic shades, Red, White and Black. They were made to go with anything and are comfortable and give you instant cool points (even if it that is just in my head) The widest selection I have found outside of a Converse Store can be found here Prices From £49.99
5. I am autumnal child and as a result my birthday celebrations are often on the chillier side of the year. So I always tend to find a good Winter coat often lands itself on my list, year after year. Of course this year is no exception and I have been swinging wildly between fashionable pink and the sensible camel as the coat of choice for colder climes. I still haven't been able to decide so both colours have landed on my list this year. The Pink Coat from Hobbs £239 is classically cut and just the right side of pink to make you feel like you are standing apart from the crowd for the right reasons. The camel coat, is a modern take on a similar cut but it just makes you feel spectacular every time you put on your shoulders. This absolute beauty can be found in French Connection and is a surprising £175 easily allowing you to go for both this winter!
4. Because the aforementioned climes are drawing in I tend to stick to flats during the colder months to avoid any ankle induced injuries when the inevitable ice sets in. These flats however have filled me with a joy that will make me wish it were slightly icy every morning! These beautiful and unusual flats from See by Chloe are complete confectionery for the feet and you will want to thrust your feet in the direction of anyone that mentions the colder weather and their choice of footwear! the best part is that they are on SALE!! An incredible 50% off.
I am DYING! £122
It is grown up, without being dowdy or 'affected' and I am of the opinion that wallets and purses should always be of a classic hue. this ticks all the boxes and is genuinely fabulous! Mulberry, £275
