It's cold, miserable and windy as hell. That can only mean we are in the throws one of the most depressing months of the year. Boo to January, failed resolutions, failed diets and of course, the ever present hangover of Christmas in the form of your overdraft being firmly in the red, a still niggling headache from all that champagne, red wine and baileys. I often want to hide, but life and work obviously gets in the way.
The best way to overcome this, is to cover up and pretend you are still in bed. The best way to do that is with hats. Cosy, comforting and warming hats.
For this weeks' #WantItWednesday I have collated a list of my favourite and most lusted after hats to wish the most joyless of January's away.
Tuck Back Beanie, Topshop
I love this beanie. It is slouchy, thick and warm and in one of my favourite colours for the season, bottle green. This is perfect for lazy days, cold days and everything in between. This is a casual winter staple and will carry you through the harshest of winter days.
Wear it with jeans, a shearling jacket and a pair of high tops and you'll feel like you never even left your bed behind.

Fur Hat, Zara
Cute, Cute, Cute!
This is exactly like you are wearing a duvet on your head, without actually wearing a duvet on your head. This is perfect for a more sophisticated wardrobe. Perfect for chic promenades and wintry alfresco brunches or lunches. Wear it with a classic camel coat, and a pair of riding boots. Sophistication personified!
Wool Bowler Hat, H&M
I love a bowler hat, yes, they are a little pretentious and yes, it reminds me very much of my primary school uniform but as a lady with a pixie haircut these hats are a godsend any time of the year. Pop on a bowler and instantly up the style points of any outfit. Wear it with a fancy dress to add notches to your hipster/East London credentials or wear with plain oversized t-shirt, jeans and a massive cardigan for a casual look. This is also an excellent Casual Workwear outfit.
So there you have it. May your January suck less and be as warm as ever!
