A New Look...

Hi Guys!!

I know there has been radio silence from me the last couple of weeks... but it is for a good reason!

Keep checking the page out as I will announce a New LEWK and a new direction for Lucie's Lockets as soon as I can.

It's all rather exciting!

#WantItWednesday (28/10/15)

I am going away with the family for Christmas this year... it's going to be warm, the exchange rate (for now) is looking good and I am slowly starting to warm up to the idea...

As it has been a while since I have flown long haul I have been thinking quite seriously about luggage options (all of my current options are only suitable for long weekends) and whenever I think of luggage I remember the greatest fictional luggage collection ever to have existed. Wes Anderson's Darjeeling Limited Family Luggage collection.

Via Classic Driver
I loved this film and the luggage stayed with me forever. I lusted after the collection (created specifically for the film by Louis Vuitton by Marc Jacobs no less) and spend months, searching hoping and praying that this luggage collection were available to buy so I could bankrupt myself.
Alas, it was only made for the film and the pieces were auctioned off for charity at a cost I couldn't even come close to, even if I did actively bankrupt myself.

Then... Something happened.

#WantItWednesday (21/10/15)

So my birthday has been and gone, I am sad that I am another year older and I still have birthday money burning a hole in my pocket (that wasn't converted to gin). So I have been scouring the globe (literally) looking for ways to spend my birthday money! I shouldn't have wasted my time; the answer was right in front of me and in my own city the whole time.

From Alex Monroe

One of my favourite jewellery designers of all time, Alex Monroe is famed for his glorious bee motif jewellery. I have spoken about my love for his craftsmanship time and time again. So when it comes to Treat 'Yo Self for your birthday I could think of nothing else I wanted 'to me, from me'

I love a pinky ring and this truly is the pinkiest of pinky rings and is just GORGEOUS!

I wear a lot of white gold and silver jewellery and this sits with the rest of my permanent jewellery collection beautifully.

The bee motif is classic Monroe; beautiful  and as quintessentially British as ever. Just another reason why I desperately want it!
Each ring is personally sized so you needn't worry about it falling off like most off the rack rings and the bee is just raised enough for it to not catch on every sleeve you have ever owned (extra important during the winter months)

So yeah, this is exactly what my birthday money is going toward, much better than gin I think!

Until Next Week!

#WantItWednesday 14/10/15

So I missed a week, I've been busy drawing up and sending a lists to everyone in time for my birthday, which is (shock horror) tomorrow. *sad face*

From & Other Stories
So at the top of my list to commiserate another year older with this beauty from & Other Stories. With the weather drawing in this is the perfect item to sink into stylishly.

I love the lapels on this too, perfect to pop in the driving wind and fill with a thick, extra warm scarf, like this one

The colour is great too. It makes you feel like the winter is a distant memory with its pastel hue.  This works well with all of my favourites shades of uniformity (Navy, Grey, Beige)

Have a look at my ways to wear below:

All looks can be found here

Go on... you've 24 hours until my birthday and the weather is looking pretty crappy. Who wants to get me a present (or five?!)

Until Next Week!

#WantItWednesday (30/09/15)

So I am in search of a new diary; As a firm pretend grown up I am a believer that diary's are really important. Writing your plans on something other than a post it or the back of your hand does, surprisingly help you to keep track of things.

Panama Diary, Smythson

As it is with you for a whole year you may as well spend some money on it. The Panama Diary from Smythson is the perfect fit. It's small enough to in a pocket, or slip effortlessly into a handbag, or clutch without you being aware that you are carrying a diary around with you all the time.

I am a particular fan of this colour too. It's fun and bright, it's a grown up piece of handbag furniture that doesn't have to make you feel old.

I have already mentioned that I am a HUGE fan of all things stationery, and this goregeous little beauty is no exception.
It'll make you want to plan things, just so you can show this beauty off!

Until Next Week!

#WantItWednesday (23/09/25)

From Topshop

Autumn has well and truly arrived and I am now looking for something that will help me transition into the bleak cold months. I have found a perfect pair of boots from Topshop that fit the bill perfectly.

This work well with bare legs and the inevitable thick, opaque tights that will happen in the bleak dark nights to come

Now, I would pair these with a pair of skinny jeans, an oversized shirt and a giant, comfy jumper. Sheer Autumn Perfection!

Because the heel is super chunky, these are really comfortable as a casual everyday shoe. Go on... you know you want a pair!

Until Next Week!

#WantItWednesday (16/09/15)

So those of you of a certain age will remember the glory of 'The Hills' and were (as I was) suitably obsessed with the exploits of Lauren et al and their glamorously scripted lives.
One of (IMHO) the stand-out characters was an intern, with a fantastic nickname, 'Super Emily'. She was admired and disliked in equal measures and was one my favourite people when she cropped up in a few episodes.

#WantItWednesday (09/09/15)

So I have missed a week; blame it on a home improvement gone awry. However I am back with a vengeance and wonderful new dining table in my flat to eat on. Once I had managed to put the table up I was once again back on the high street looking for my next sartorial fix.

From Monki
And I found it this week with the hidden gem that is Monki
I was always a bit weary of this chain; it always looks really painfully young and cool. The kind of cool you'd want to clip around the ear.

I had come across a few bits during my hourly trawl through ASOS. Some of their best pieces (more than a couple are now proudly sat on my clothing rail of merit) like this shirt dress and these culottes.

Next on my list of things to buy is this perfect oversized sweater dress from their AW15 arrivals. This is huge, soft and perfect in many and any occasion.

I would wear it with a crisp, white shirt and one of my many hundreds of white trainers or plimsolls. (these would look best with that look)

In fact... I like the idea of this look so much that I am clicking 'add to basket' as I speak, with about 100 other bits! oops.

Until next week!

#WantItWednesday (26/08/15)

Well... Summer is OVER I am DEVASTATED.
So I am looking forward to wrapping up and doing the only thing I can during the chilly, wet and miserable weather. Layering up with style.

I have been on a hunt. I have been looking for shirts, tops, skirts and trousers that lend themselves to be worn under or on top of hundreds of different warming others.

The chicest way to layer, in my opinion is to layer, using variants of the same colour.

I have always said I wear a 'uniform' and that uniform consists of five colours, beige, white, black & navy. It also helps that these beautiful colours lend themselves quite well to a layered wardrobe.

I have found the perfect item to begin your layering for the season and can you believe it? It's under £20!
From New Look
This absolute steal from New Look(link) is amazing, easy to wear and the perfect base to start adding layers to. It even comes in my uniform of shades. (So I'll have two in every colour please!)

I would pair this with a pair of cigarette trousers (these would go excellently), a pair of plimsolls or über fashionable trainers du jour and a button down (done up all the way) for an easy casual look for work. You could even go nuts; with a button down tunic or shirts dress underneath it too. Pair or with a huge scarf like an old favourite (sadly discontinued) on an extra blustery day, (like today) or a super cute, super yellow raincoat

Look at the ways to wear below:

See not the sun has gone out. I'm really depressed; so layers and comfort are the only things that could save me; that and spending countless hours shopping.

Until Next Week!

#WantItWednesday (19/08/15)

Via Cos

So Summer is more or less over (sob) so I have been searching high and low for transition pieces that can take me through to the bleak winter.

I have been looking for something in one of my favourite colours, Navy and I have found this beauty and a half from one of my favourite shops, Cos.

This glorious shirt is the sartorial mullet of tops; business in the front...Party at the back.

This is perfect for a work outfit or relaxing in a pair of baggy boyfriend jeans.

#WantItWednesday (12/08/205)

From Cos

So the weather has been flipping out the last couple of days.
It's been humid and cloudy, sunny and windy and because of it, I am taking hours to get ready.
I am just not sure what the day will bring.
So I have been looking for a dress that is suitable for all seasons, is easy to wear and can be dressed up easily. I have found it in this chic simple beauty from Cos.

I love this dress. The would look amazing with a pair of converse as it would with a pair of chic glitzy sandals.

This is perfect for the changeable weather, it's a heavy duty jersey; perfect for when the wind & rain picks up, The Oversized shape is perfect for those lighter, brighter days and nights.

This dress also fits in seamlessly with my wardrobe of grey, black & navy blue so could easily be carried into the Autumn months because I think I will be wearing this for a long time to come.

Until Next week!

#WantItWednesday (05/08/16)

I have been on a bit of a home decor vibe the last couple of weeks.
I have been painting, decorating and DIYing like a trouper and I love it! I have been dreaming about bookshelves and furniture and I am not sorry about it!

From Made.com
I am have been in need of lighting for ages. My flat is lovely (now after weeks of decoration) but I am sick of having the ceiling light on all the time... And then I found this.

I am complete and totally in love with this Copper lamp from Made.com. It is fun, cool and makes me feel like I am not in my flat in deepest darkest East London; but in an huge, spacious loft in the middle of Copenhagen.

This looks great modern furniture (aka IKEA, let's not pretend) and it's really, good value for it's design. I have decided that this beauty will be perfect next to my enormous floor mirror. Perfect for those #OOTD Instagram shots I should be taking.

Copper is one of my metals of the moment. I have a lot of accents in it throughout my home. To be honest, I want to gilt my flat in it.

I have searched high and low for the best pieces for the home. Have a look at my favourite pieces here:
From L-R: Oliver Bonas, Tom Dixon, Ikea
So as you can see, it's taking over my life.
I am off to buy more copper.

Until Next Week!

#WantItWednesday (29/07/15)

So this week, I have been searching high a low for a new bag. A bag that will not only be easy to throw on while I am crushed on the tube; but to carry my lunch (because I am good and bring a packed lunch... most days), my books and everything else I normally carry in my black hole of a handbag.
From MatchesFashion
And I've found it in this perfect cross-body bag from The Row. This is roomy and chic and looks perfect with just about any outfit, whether it's a casual Friday or a Manic Monday. I love the colour of it too. Navy is my go to colour for any chic fashionista, I would even say (possibly in hushed tones) that I prefer navy to black. It's a lot softer and warmer and goes with just as much as the ubiquitous chic shade.

It's large enough to shove everything in and still be stylish as hell AND you can easily shove others out of the way during the rush hour madness. You'll feel fab doing it too!
(not that you don't anyway!)

Until Next Week!

#WantItWednesday (22/07/15)

With it being warm there are more reasons for us to wear dresses (HOORAY!) I have been on a hunt for the best dresses on the market.
So I am going to be short & sweet for today's #WantItWednesday.
From Warehouse
I have found this amazing dress from Warehouse. This is perfectly on trend for Summer & Autumn with a distinct 70s vibe. The panel detail on the empire line is really cute and makes you want to don a pair of platforms and dance the night away in Studio 54.

Have a look at my ways to wear below:

I am off to the park now, to soak up the most of the summer, until next week!

#WantItWednesday (15/07/15)

From M&S

So it has been blissfully warm the last couple of weeks and I love it! The only problem is I am having to peel myself out of my uniform of jeans, button downs and jumpers because, frankly, I look ridiculous.

So I find myself uttering the same expression, morning, after morning, like a loon. 'I have nothing to wear' So I have been looking in unlikely places to find dresses that I like and aren't ridiculous.

Wednesday 8 July 2015

#WantItWednesday (08/07/15)

From Kiko Milano

So this week I have been soaking up the sunshine; anywhere I can find it. In the park, a beer garden anywhere that I have been able to get my summer drink of choice on.
(you should try it... seriously delicious!)

So with all of those hot days and cool drinks, I have been thinking about lipsticks and how to keep it is firmly attached to my lips and not the glass I am coquettishly sipping from.

So I have been looking for fun summer colours that won't break the bank and I have found the holy grail in Kiko Milano's Smart Lipsticks.
Available in 24 shades, most of them perfect for summer. They are hard-wearing, kind to your lips and incredibly cheap (for the price of FOUR different shades from Kiko's range you would get ONE from MAC).

The prep for all lipsticks are exactly the same. If you are unsure of the best way to make lipstick last, this is my favourite method. This is even more important during the summer months when the all make-up threatens to slide off at any opportunity.

These are my favourite shades (so far)
(L-R Watermelon (911), Strawberry Pink (904) & Natural Neige (901)

So I am off to try every shade in the collection, because they are amazing, and I don't have to wait until payday...HOORAY!

Until Next Week!

#WantItWednesday (01/07/15)

From Office
So to give you a bit of background on this week's #WantItWednesday, I have to talk to you about a
particularly arduous journey into work one morning.

I was crushed against another 100 people (as usual) on the tube. It was hot and miserable and was staring at the floor; as I had run out of newspaper and the will to live.

Then I saw an effortlessly fashionable and literally cool woman on glide into the carriage in these BEAUTIES. I fell in love. Hard.

I then spent the rest of the week (no joke) searching high and low for these sandals sent from heaven as I was unable to ask the wonderful lady where her shoes were from.
(I was unfortunately rammed under the unsavoury armpit of another tube user)
I eventually found them in Office and a new summer sandal romance was born.

These go with everything in my wardrobe, my skinny jeans, my boyfriend jeans, my pleated skirts my midi skirts, you name it, it goes with it.
They are also in my favourite hue; rose gold, I love rose gold, I love copper, I love bronze It's spectacular. I have spoken on numerous occasions about my love of this shade. 100% one of my favourites.

Look at of these wonderful ways to wear here:

Just look at how happy my feet are?!

#WantItWednesday (24/06/15)

From Monki

I have been searching high and low for a lovely relaxed, summer skirt and I think I have found it in this gorgeous skirt from Monki

This lightweight, striped denim skirt is perfect for the longer evenings spent outside. This works well with an oversized button down or a Tshirt, even one of my favourite Fisherman Jumpers from American Apparel for when the nights draw in.

I think my summer prayers have been answered with this little beauty. This is fun, relaxed and delightfully vintage for the summer.

Lacquer up: The Self Made Nail Artists.

From LuciesLocket
It's not a secret that I love nail polish. I talk about it all the time. I take pride in painting my nails weekly and can often be found spamming my instagram feed with images of said handiwork.

I am not the only one either. I found out quite recently that the sales of nail polish outstripped sales of lipstick, the first cosmetic for an instant pick me up.

I know why I am buying three nail polishes a month, and one lipstick a month; but why is everyone else?

#WantItWednesday (17/06/15)

From Bergdorf Goodman

So It's Summer, which means you need free hands for ice cream and white wine spritzers.
And do I have the perfect bag for you, this weeks #WantItWednesday.

This crossbody bag from New York label Mansur Gavriel, is has been made for summer. The butter soft, Italian leather handbag is perfect for tucking your purse, phone and cares away and looking fabulous while doing so.

It does come in a range of colours, but my favourite has to be this BEAUTIFUL tan.
It goes with everything; my uniform (Oversized T-shirt, a pair of jeans), summer dresses, kaftans, everything!
The entire collection has a vintage feel, which is wonderfully on-trend for the summer. This feels like a bag you envied in your parents youthful and care-free photographs and you cursed them for not keeping just for you.

Well, now you can have it; but unfortunately there is a catch. You have to wait for US shipping as this is only available in New York Institution Bergdorf Goodman. So it's either waiting rather impatiently (like me) or jumping on the next available flight to JFK. I know which one I would rather!

High Street Heroes: June

Hello June!

The weather is FINALLY warming up and I am on the hunt for my summer wardrobe.
I have been up and down the high street looking for the perfect components for my capsule wardrobe. I am continuing on my quest to find all thing disco-centric, and the stores on the high haven't disappointed me this month.

Wednesday 10 June 2015

#WantItWednesday (10/06/15)

From River Island
So coat and heavy jacket weather is FINALLY over. But we do all live in England so cover ups are unfortunately necessary.

I have been trawling the high street and the Internetweb and I have found this lightweight jacket sent from heaven. Well specifically, River Island.

This is cute as a button and perfect for the longer summer evenings spent on the riverside or in the beer garden.

This works beautifully with shimmery summer dresses, crisp shirt dresses and my lifetime staple. An oversized t-shirt and jeans.

The pattern is wonderfully loud (and ever so on trend) so you could be brave and pair this with another pattern for a truly on trend pattern clash (like a Breton stripe or a graphic floral ) or let the jacket do all of the talking for you with plain, light colours.

So go on, treat yo' self and you'll be summer ready in no time at all!
Until next week!

#WantItWednesday (03/06/15)

From New Look
Sometimes I want people to realise how much of a DIVA I am.

I mean, I know I am fabulous but sometimes I want everyone else to realise and appreciate too. Enter this beautiful fabulous hat that articulates that so you don't have to.

This beauty screams 'Bow down, you are in the presence of greatness' without you even lifting your head.

#WantItWednesday (27/05/15)

From Cos
Summer is all I can think about of late... Light & warm evenings spent in the park on the riverside.
There is NOTHING better than a summer in London. Nothing!

However, the weather and I are having a few issues of late so I am just going to pretend it is warmer than it really is and wax lyrical about this gorgeous pleat back dress from Cos.

I love this lightweight, fun and relaxed dress. This is my definition of Casual Chic. It's oversized and fun and it works wonderfully with a pair of Converse and a fun vintage headscarf.

This beautiful light blue colour is a cotton and linen blend, perfect for the summer season; it also had one of favourite secret features for a dress... POCKETS!

#WantItWednesday (20/05/15)

It's nearly summer, nearly a bank holiday and I couldn't be more excited!
An extra long weekend, it should be a nicer weekend than it is now (well, according to this) so what is there not to like?!

From & Other Stories
For this week's instalment of #WantItWednesday I am  sticking firm to my summer feeling with these gorgeous espadrilles from & Other Stories

Nothing makes me feel like Summer has arrived than a pair of espadrilles. The history of these pyrennean staples are second to none; examples of espadrilles can be found as far back as 4000 years ago and they are still just has fashionable now.

These are perfect with almost any summer staple. Pair these boyfriend jeans and t-shirt, a wonderful relaxed look. Wear these with a loose summer dress (maybe with a bit of broderie anglaise) and you will feel absolutely ethereal.

I love the platform on these too, anything to add a bit of height to my 5'2 frame!

I cannot wait to slip these on and slide right into summer!

Until Next Week!

#WantItWednesday (13/05/15)

From New Look
I am aware that I have incredibly expensive taste. I like nice things and nice things normally cost me the equivalent my rent. So sometimes it is refreshing for my soul (and my bank balance) when I find something that is a) beautiful b) practical and c) under £100.

Enter this amazing, oversized blazer from New Look. With summer fast approaching, this is the perfect transition piece.

You can wear this with a summer dress, a t-shirt and jeans, a floaty skirt and cami, essentially your entire summer wardrobe can go with this blazer, it's oversized but I would get this one or two sizes larger than your regular size. It just feels a bit better and more relaxed.

High Street Heroes: May

It's May!
I can smell summer; it's so close and that makes me extremely happy!
When I'm happy, that makes me want to go shopping and shopping is perfect for this month's high street heroes!
I have been searching high and low for the best the high street has to offer and now I am ready to show you. HOORAY!

Like I have mentioned a few times already, the 70s are back in a big way.
Topshop, River Island and the ilk are all over this trend like disco on fever.

It's May! Yay! It's Spring, slightly warmer and brighter that makes me infinitely happy.
When it is slightly warmer and brighter; it makes me slightly brighter and being brighter makes we want to wear loud, proud and happy clothes.

From Liberty

Enter the Classic Liberty Print Shirt. It's loud and pretty and I want them in all the patterns and colours.

I am a big fan of button downs anyway. Chuck on a pair of skinny jeans or cigarette pants, add my favourite pair of plimsolls and a lot of bangles and your outfit is more or less complete and perfect, without even trying.

This is my normal shirt of choice, these work well in any situation and environment, casual or less so.

Have a look at my ways to wear below.

Via Meticulous Ink
Happy National Stationery Week! This is possibly, one of my favourite weird retail weeks' ever!

I have mentioned on more than one occasion that my love of stationery is second to none. I love sending letters to my nearest and dearest and receiving them is always a joy (hint, hint!)

This set from Meticulous Ink, is so cute I could cry.
Using traditional letterpress and printing techniques their note cards, greeting cards and correspondence cards bring the fun back into your letter writing.

My favourite piece is the Honey Bee Correspondence set. It is cute and large enough to send a quick update to your nearest and dearest all over the world.
The paper is heavy, so it is suitable for all pen types and feels luxurious. Who wouldn't want to get one of these beauties in the post?

I am already halfway through all of my letters for the month so I am definitely on my second order!

Until Next week!

Monday 27 April 2015

Happy 100!!

YAY!! 100 posts! I cannot believe I have been able to write 100 (well, over 100 if you count all my other pages... go on, check them out here, and here!)
So I thought I would to divulge my favourite style crushes of all time, The chic tastemakers who influence the way I dress, The things I buy and hell, even the way I live.

I am  going to share my favourites with you so you can agree, disagree, comment & get tips simultaneously .
It'll be a wonderful way to loose yourself in 15 mins of fashion and shopping!

#WantItWednesday (22/04/15)

So I may have been a little pre-occupied with getting my house in order of late. I have spent an obscene amount of time lusting after shelves, painting furniture and up-cycling like my life depended on it. I am desperate to have the perfect house and it has slightly taken over my life.

From Rifle Paper Co

As the need for a perfect home is now a fully fledged obsession; I have spent more and  more of my weekends in Ikea, because I am not made of money and I have to make savings where I can and there are plenty of Pinterest Ikea hacks that make me feel like Martha Stewart on steroids.

The last time I ventured in (last weekend, I won't pretend) I was on the hunt for a large photo frame to fit this 'London' print from Rifle Paper Co I have been lusting after for months. I left with several clip top jars, a vase and an amazing hallway table.

The other piece of furniture I saw BLEW MY MIND.
I have never wanted a piece of home-ware so much in my life

Lacquer Up: Glitter Fade

So, spring has sprung and I fancy some neon glitter nails.
I love a good glitter fade. They are so much easier to do than an ombré and are just as beautiful. I thought, as it has AGES since my last Lacquer up  I thought I would go for this easy tutorial to get your ready for spring.

First, after filing and prepping your nails ready for your polish apply your base coat.
I have used the Save The Nail 'Bridge The Ridge' filling base coat. Apply two coats and allow to dry fully before continuing.

High Street Heroes: April

The sun is out! HOORAY!!
What better way to celebrate than looking at my pick of the early summer finds this month on the high street. I must confess (it's not really a confession) I have been looking forward to the warmer weather for months and months! I am so excited. No more thick woolly scarves, heavy coats and a frozen fingers... I CANNOT WAIT!

I love this skirt from Urban Outfitters. It's light, airy and perfect for spring. I would pair this with an oversized t-shirt (if your are feeling brave try a bright pattern or a contrasting stripe), bare legs and a pair of well loved converse.

The vertical stripe is flattering on all shapes and sizes and perfect to carry you through to summer. This would even look amazing on your holiday, paired with a kimono and your bikini or swimsuit.

A wonderfully easy and casual outfit for spring... where is the nearest park? I am ready for a picnic in the sun!

Get them before I snag the lot!

From Urban Outfitters
It is actually warm enough to leave your coat at home... This makes me happier than I care to admit.
It is an absolute joy to me that spring has FINALLY sprung properly and I am going to celebrate with these beauties from Urban Outfitters

It's time for your toes to get a much needed dose of Vitamin D and these are a great addition to a casual wardrobe.

#WantItWednesday (08/04/15)

From Browns
When it comes to fashion, sometimes we all take ourselves a little too seriously. Sometimes something comes around that re-enforces the fact that we just need to chill the hell out. This headband from Maison Michel is one of those accessories that brings the fun and frivolity back into fashion.

I love these cute little cat ears. How can you not? Having already established myself as a crazy cat lady (alas, without the cats as my flat is too small - so I guess that just makes me crazy... oh.)  These are the perfect witty addition to any smart and serious outfit.

These would look great with a chic Parisian pixie cut, it would look just as good with an chignon too.
To be honest I think it'll look good and add a touch of whimsy to any outfit!

#WantItWednesday (01/04/15)

From Topshop
It's getting warmer and therefore I am actively thinking about sandals, lighter dresses and thinner cardigans.

Because we all need warm thoughts right? These shoes from Topshop are the first on my list!

Metallics make everything feel summery. Pair with an oversized cardigan and a paper-thin dress with a collar. A winning combination!
These are sandals are perfect for the Easter weekend activities like supervising egg hunts, languid bank holiday brunches and general spring merriment.

#WantItWednesday (25/03/15)

So, I may have gone on about this for months, but I have just moved into a shiny new home! I have had a few of my nearest and dearest round but am not yet ready to have a full on 'grown up' dinner party with courses and a cheeseboard! I have been putting it off; although my tea sets are second to none; my cookware needs a bit of work
(I also need to finish putting my dining table together - Don't ask.)

AW15 Fashion Week Round up

Well... The parties have been thrown, champagne has finally stopped flowing (for now), Blue Steel is back with a vengeance and the street style fashion pose has been put away for the season. The AW15 show season is over; what a whirlwind it has been!

LFW via W
I have trawled through the statics, shows and photos for my pick of my favourites so you don't have to.

From New York & Milan to my Hometown (and my spiritual Home) I have picked my best of the week to help with with my winter wardrobe.

New York brought us The 70s and the cold; London was all about 'a motorway restaurant', Milan brought craft to the forefront and Paris was all about new beginnings.

#WantItWednesday (18/03/15)

I love a full skirt, especially in the summer. There is something very Roman Holiday about it. The days feel a bit more glamorous when you are out and about, hopping on and off the tube with a full swooshy skirt. It makes your morning commute a little more exciting than it really is.

#WantItWednesday (11/03/15)

I have already professed my love for dungarees and here I am about to do it again.

Black Denim Dungarees
They are perfect for running errands and I love that they make you look (or feel) a bit younger. They do in my case, especially when I pair them with an enormous bow atop my fod.
It seems like the rest of the world is finally catching up with my infantile obsession with overalls.
One of the most prominent fashionistas who has recently joined the dungaree harem is a style icon to many. Alexa Chung's collection for AG Jeans are filled with dungarees & dungaree dresses that make my heart skip a beat. Dungarees are finally cool again!! (Not that I would have taken them out of my rotation) They lend themselves perfectly to winter to spring transitional dressing.

If it’s a little cold out, and you don’t want to wear a jacket, chuck a jumper and a granddad shirt on underneath and you've an effortlessly cool, warm outfit. Working during the day and are going for drinks in the evening? Chuck on a pair of heels and you've a fashion forward look. Easy, bloody peasy!

High Street Heroes: March

Hello Spring! the days are getting longer, the weather is slowly picking up and my mood is improving on a daily basis. This can only mean one thing... I am beginning to step out in style. So I thought as this was a special occasion and I have resolved to wear my beloved Supergas a maximum of twice a week, this month's High Street Heroes are all about the shoes. Heels, flats, platforms and everything in-between!.

For the perennially casual these espadrilles from River Island  are a win/win in the shoe game. These scream for bare legs, or loose jeans and look so comfortable. I love the snake skin too; you can pattern clash, go wild with your brights or keep it clean and neutral with a plethora of white, beige and taupes, nothing would look out of place with these.

I would pair these with an oversized, crisp button down (collar popped) a pair of light washed boyfriend jeans and a lot of bangles. (Headscarf optional)

These makes me want to think warm thoughts and be in the park right now.

Who doesn't like flowers? I am feeling a little sad and full of cold this week and so I am covering my entire flat in floral fancies. I am going all out and giving a certain Ms Carey a run for her money.

So where do you go to get enough flowers to make you feel better, without having to ask/be ill/get married?!

If you fancy letting your creative juices flow and want to arrange your own flowers; then the best place for you to go is Columbia Road Market.

#WantItWednesday (25/02/15)

I am a lady of simple, tastes, I have said it before and I will say it again. Overdressing is a fear I hold will hold until I draw my last breath.

Last week I had mentioned my love of all things classic and chic. The coat I had lusted after had been from one of those brands I could wear forever and these shorts are from another, Acne
